Each volume of the original 40 volumes featured a head shot with garish colors and lettering that in no way resembled the famous Star Trek logo. In later volumes they alternated shots of the regular cast with guest stars! Vic Tayback looks especially out of place on the cover of volume 25!

Eight Volume Set
The original DVD release of the Star Trek TV series came in a total of 40 volumes, each containing two episodes.

There are now two versions of my alternate covers for these sets, and each set saves quite a bit of shelf space. They feature the regular cast members, along with space backgrounds and shots of the Enterprise!

Original packaging
These covers were made to fit the wide 7 disc Alpha-paks available at
US Plastic.com.   The spines measure approx. 2" wide.
